About This Program

Join us in this transformative journey into a persuasive communicator, a confident debater, and a future leader in the world of public speech and debate. 

 

Course Overview
An introduction to public speaking for younger students. Class focus is on developing and/or nurturing existing excitement for public speaking and debate. Students will find a safe, fun, exciting space to learn that they can present information and form opinions about basic to middle tier topics and can expect to flourish as they grow in confidence.
Learning Goals

Apply basic digital and in person etiquette for public speech and debate.

Choose meaningful topics to share knowledge about with the class.

Further understanding of critical thinking, argument formation, and on the spot responses to other considerations

Explore interpersonal communication strategies and framework for different speaking opportunities.

Their vast experience in the world of speech and debate ensures that the course is designed to cater to your unique learning needs, providing you with invaluable insights, tips, and techniques that are tried and tested at the highest levels of competition.

Special strategy prep session

Students learn to write clear and persuasive introductions and conclusions using strategic analysis. Through the strategy prep, students will be able to clearly articulate a position in front of their peers with confidence.

Team-based research & organizing

students will work on drafting a clear and convincing introduction and conclusion with current hot issues by following the research guidelines provided by National Speech & Debate Association.

Collaboration is key in Tournaments. Every week students will alter teams and prepare the debate together online in various settings.
