Hi, my name is Morgan! I have been a middle school teacher for the last ten years. I love working with children of all ages and abilities! My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students grow! I love when a student connects with a character or an experience that it is happening in the book with something going on in their life. I also believe the more students become comfortable with reading, the more confident they become in other academic areas. The best thing about Book Club classes is having the opportunity to have enlightened discussions and debates! I believe it is important for students to learn how to respectfully disagree, create thought-out arguments and listen to their peers’ perspectives. If I could recommend one book for students to read it would be Refugee by Alan Gratz because it is a powerful story about overcoming adversity during significant historical events.
